'You' cannot put land up for auction.  However, you can sell your land.  Set a price you think is competitive for the land, its location, desireability, etc. as you would any land in RL.  See if it sells.  If it does not sell as quickly as you would like, lower the price or wait until prices for similar properties rises.  Sometimes you can make your land seem more attractive by putting a home there so people can better visualize what they might do with it.

Try to be a tad careful when selling your land- e.g., don't practice by putting in a value of $1L or a land bot will scoop it from under you.
