Been in SL since September of 2006, I have experience building many things, from clubs and houses to simple chairs. 

I am back around in SL for a little bit, and looking to get back into the swing of things without attempting to get a company running again. I understand that everyone is hurting from the economy (and I purely just love to build) so my prices have dropped a lot from back in the old days.

Sounds like a lot of fun.  The max avatars for a full region is, technically, 100 but can be set as low as 40.  http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Limits/ta-p/700099

When you say a thousand students what does that actually involve, since they don't need dorms, canteen, parking, etc?
