0 Madelaine McMasters
Hi again Back, I'm not sure if you're interested in the making of the sound effects themselves, or the use of them in SL, so I'll give you a shotgun answer. Google finds quite a few free sound effects libraries... https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=free+sound+effects If you wish to create them on your own, you'll need a portable recording device and an audio editing tool. I have no recommendations for a recorder, other than to use your phone's audio note taking app if it has such a thing. For editing, I use the free Audacity program... http://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/ Here's more about sound clips... http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Sound_Clips And finally, you'll need a script to play the clip under the circumstances you desire. Here's the LSL script library, which contains at least a couple example scripts that use sound. Just search for "sound" on that page... http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Category:LSL_Library And here is the base script function for playing sound clips... http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlPlaySound At the bottom of that page you'll find links to the other sound related functions. Have fun!
