hi i created a mesh object. i used 3 textures. exported from blender into second life. but something weird has happened.

i put the object in world. everything looked ok. all textures on its own places. i click on object properties and see it is set as multitexture . i tp somewhere else and when i come back, 2 textures disappear, just one of them stays on item. and properties panel texture panel is shown as texture. not as multitexture. what do you think may be wrong?

So presumably you have three materials. In that case, you need to have the same three materials at each LOD. If not, the uploader should stop you with an error message. If it's not the triangle count problem, I can think of a couple of other things that could be happening. If you used local textures for two textures that disappeared, would they still be there afdter a tp? Sometimes, a change that you make in the viewer doesn't succeed in getting updated on the server. In that case the next time the viewer requests the data d=from the asset servers, it doesn't have the changes. This is quite common for other object parameters if you have a poor connection (like mine), although I can't remember seeing it with textures. Then there is a remote possibilityb that a server restart lost the most recent changes. Otherwise, I'm still guessing.

hi drongle. i think what u said about   " same materials at each lod"    may be the answer. because i remember when i tried to upload the mesh i got an error message. but i ignored the message and uploaded it. at low lod i have just 1 material and the texture i see in world, belongs to that material. i ll try to make a low lod file with each materials when i get back home and see the result. thanks again both of you :)
