The first 512m2 you own, is free of land-fee...It is included in your premium-membership, to either have a Linden home, or 512m2 of land (you have to pay for the land itself, as a one-time-payment), without paying fee to Linden Lab.

If you own more than 512 m2 but less than 1024 m2, you will have to pay monthly fee at the 512m2 level, because you always have the first 512m2 fee-free.

512 m2 level is 5 USD a month in fee...and you can own up to 1024 m2 for this price.

So....

512 m2 land = no fee

513 m2 - 1024 m2 land = 5 USD per month in fee.
