Question

I had a bit of a dilemma yesterday with viewerlag so I decided to try a couple of different viewers. I tried two TPV viewers, Second Life Viewer 1.23 and Viewer 2.

As I logged into Viewer 2 I noticed a couple of things from my inventory had gone missing. These things had been in the same folders as the things my avatar was wearing at the time. Everything that was not sharing folder with the things I used are still there.

I've cleared cache manually, deleting all cache thingies in my computer but with no luck. They're completely gone.

I figured it was best if I submitted a ticket to LL but there is nothing matching in the "What type of problem are you having?" thing.

Your prob Layne may be due to needing to clear your cache.  In viewer 1.xx based clients, Ctrl P and in the Network tab, Clear Cache.  In viewer 2.xx based clients, Ctrl P and in the Setup tab, Clear Cache.  Relog, open your inventory and wait for it to fully fetch.

Thanks for your answer, Starry Rae. I noticed missing items before, but it seemed they always came back eventually. Today, after a giant shopping binge of about $10 real money (!!!), many of my most expensive new goodies were gone.

I followed your instructions, and they reappeared. Phew. I was afraid I might have to ask everyone for duplicates.

I think everything had re-loaded before I signed out; hopefully they'll be there next time.
