How do you turn off the "toast" ?

I learned from my first question that the popups in SL are called "toast" ...

I was told to change the settings in the viewer for toast and it would go away ... it did not work.

Does anyone know how to turn off the group chat pop ups , and the extra IM pop up?  ...   Is this a feature in any of the browsers?

I have looked through all the settings, and tried everything I can think of ...  so far,  no luck.

HI Cali,

go to yoru communicate>GROUPS>Chose the group u want to stop>info>general tab (first group page) down bottom rightcorner is my active title.. below this is recive group ims un check this.

 

it should then stop all the pop ups u get .

If you are using Viewer 2 these are options coming in a forthcoming release - probably 2.4 or earlier in a month or so.  At present it is not possible, except through using the Debug Settings in the 'Advanced' menu.
