Thanks again, Ill give it a shot. I have no idea what Im doin here, HA! The quick start guide is NOT quick, its long and boring.  Is anything free here, to start with? Or am I gonna have to buy EVERYTHING? : )

Yes, there is free stuff in Second Life.  Lots of it.  Many SL rezidents choose to be basic (not premium or pay-to-play) members and take advantage of the many freebie and dollarbie offerings in locations that specialize in free or low-cost items or places like clubs and roleplay sims that give out free items applicable to the activities in that location or stores that give out monthly freebies to group members and on and on and on.  You can even get free and low-cost Second Life stuff outside of Second Life...via the Marketplace.

Also, there are Midnight Mania boards, Lucky boards, Lucky chairs and all kinds of similar things where it is a bit like a raffle to get free stuff.

I'll run and get you some links, but it does mean more reading.  One of the fantastic things about Second Life is that there are so many possibilities within it.  One of the painful things about Second Life is that that very seemingly limitless range of possibilities means there is a lot to learn.

Good luck and have fun!

Your best bet is to get with people who will help you and walk you through things so you don't get turned off by guides and tutorials.  There are lots of volunteer groups and help centers in Second Life.  One such group is:

NCI Kuula - New Citizens Incorpo, Kuula (55, 168, 28)
