first login to aditi - wrong username or password - error

Hello,

about one year ago, I created a second avatar for testing couple animations (her name is Water Bluebird). She is able to join Agni without problems, but for the last year I wasn't able to join Aditi with her because of the following error message:

Login failed.

Sorry! We couldn't log you in.

Please check to make sure you entered the right

*Account name

* Password.

Also please make sure your Caps lock is off"

Neither the first password nor the one I am using in agni for Water works. I even tried to set a start position like waterhead, but no success. I tried with the official Linden Viewer, with different Emerald viewers and also the cool viewer, but no change. I can log into Aditi with my primary account without problems.

Please, have you got an idea what may be wrong?

Hello Jolanda.

Have you ever before logged in with your alt to the aditi-grid? I suppose no. The aditi-grid (test-grid) has an user-database that is completely seperated from the agni-grid (the live grid). In former times, LL took a "snapshot" of the agni-databases about once a month or so and transferred it to the aditi-grid. So it was possible, that new created avatars could also log in to aditi-grid after some reasonable time.

But this times have gone. My alt is more than 400 days old and is even not able to log in to the aditi-grid for the same reason. Until now I did not ask for a database-refresh simply because it was not necessary.

Ask Oskar Linden inworld for a account transfer of the db-entries according your alt. Also join the Second Life Beta Group to get news on the aditi-grid. read more about here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Aditi

edit2: Oskar Linden transferred my alt's account while I was chatting with him; the whole procedure only took a few minutes.
