Caspervend gift card problem

I bought an item that had a gift card in it.I clicked the giftcard link and it showed up on my avatar, I don't know what steps I took but now there is a hover text over my avatar saying "Balace $53L - Please click a caspervend vendor to use.

I went back to the original vendor to buy something and it wants to take L out of my regular savings not the gift card. All I want is the hover text to go away but there isn't any link to click off in my inventory, the original link disappeared. Can someone tell me how to use this gift card or how to get the hover text to go away ? thank you in advance!

EDITED TO ADD: I got the text to go away but I still can't use the card and I am trying to use the card from the seller that I got the item that came with the gc from.

You need to ask the giver of the gift card, or join the caspervend inworld group.  I know there was an old version of the gift card system that was not very good, but I thought casper disabled it.
