Hi all.

I am not a scripter. My knowledge goes up to changing a few parameters in scripts made by others.

I am desperately (and unsuccessfully) trying to find what are the settings I have to look for to have a script for a car to have it banking on a banked turn, like on a oval nascar race track.

Of course, since I saw working scripts of that kind, I am simply looking in  the wrong places, not to mention that I am not sure about what I have to look for.

Can a merciful soul give me a direction, some suggestion?

Thanks a lot

Play with the VEHICLE_VERTICAL_ATTRACTION_TIMESCALE, VEHICLE_VERTICAL_ATTRACTION_EFFICIENCY settings.

If the vertical attractor is to strong, it keeps the vehicle upright all the time, which prevents it from following the surface slope properly.

can bank and make a related turn.

One of the parameters for this is:

I don't think cars do bank much, they would follow the slope of the road, but it works well for boats and airplanes

The
is the most comprehensive tutorial on the subject

A million thanks for linking that tutorial!

A long time ago in a far off thread, "I'd love to go for a Sunday drive", I asked about the controls/adjustments in the Vehicle Huds (message 27) but never got an answer.

That tutorial has helped me to understand a lot.
