Odyssey Collins
I spent a few days looking for a nice 120x60 skyplatform with no luck so I hesitently decided to build my own. I may have underestimated how big of a room that is lol. Would like some ideas on how I could go about breaking it up and making it feel less open. I still have a ton of prims to play with. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Stephenson/62/122/1201Thanks guys!
Rolig Loon
It looks like a nice, big, open platform to me. Especially if you are expecting to attract very many visitors at once, resist the temptation to use any more textures that you need for making the place attractive and useful. People can be turned off really fast by an area where textures are slow to rez because they are either too big or too numerous. One advantage of a large area like this is that you can avoid overlapping conversations by creating activity centers that are more than 40m apart. Use the spaces in between as buffer zones, where you can put signage or decorative stuff. Other than that, you're only limited by your artistic vision. Go for it.
