The life and history of Port Harbor and the role it plays in Steelhead:

Parts of the forest city show evidence of an old industrial town, piers and heavy machinery overtaken by wildlife. The scars of the land under the forest tells a tale of

Late 19th century gaslamp fantasy forest surrounding Puget Sound inlet. After the industrial explosion that took out the whole port the wildlife began to regrow quickly, massive forests slowly reclaiming what was once a busy industrial port.

At the apex of the industrial era in Steelhead grew the industrial Port Harbor. With industrial revolution came the shipment of illegal goods and shanghai of unsuspecting drunkards and dangerous wares unchecked by an overloaded government and the bribery of the Harbormaster. One fateful day a fire started in one of the industrial buildings which spread to the dangerous payloads on freighter and cargo ships. In one of the biggest industrial accidents in Steelhead's history the whole industrial district and piers caught on fire and destroyed Port Harbor.

After the fires were put out there was next to nothing left of the old Port Harbor. After a few months the forest began to reclaim the remains of the old city until there was nothing left of what was once an industrial boomtown and a dense forest remained.

Port Harbor is an ambient forest rebuilt in elvish style flourishes while maintaining the growing forest. Elvish homes, tree homes, hobbit homes and noveau homes accepted.
