Is it possible to appear offline while in second life?

If someone is in Second Life and they haven't blinded people on their freinds list is there another way to appear offline when one is in SL?

Thank you, I'm not trying to hide. A friend who'd last log on date is 7-28 has an online indicator, two in fact, 2 different scripts and it is saying she is online. I'm wondering if it's the script or if I have been blinded on her friends list, although I doubt it. If so why would our mutual groups show her last day on was 28th of July?

If you don't want to appear online to your friends, you do have to disable their ability to see you online in your friends list. However, for other people, if they search your profile inworld, there will be a green dot beside your name showing you are within SL. Complete privacy is pretty much impossible.

Additionally, you may set your profile's privacy settings to "nobody" but it will only prevent people to read anything about you or post to your feed, not your online status.

No, there isn't.

The only way to appear offline is to BE offline.  You can, however, make another account, an "alt" and log in under those credentials.
