I can't get sl to open after downloading on my Mac?

I tried to download a new version afte deleting my very old one. When I download, I open the installer and drag the sl into applications. Everything seems to copy but that's all I get. I cannot open and/or login. The application flashes in the dock and then.... Nothing. I'll try removing every file I can find then start over.

Hiya Kill,

When you launch the viewer, does it just endlessly bounce in the dock? Does it produce any error messages? You haven't give me much to go on.

Make sure you have removed all viewer related files. You'll find a folder named for your viewer in Library/Application Support, you'll find another in Library/Caches and perhaps another in Library/Saved Application State (where the folder name may be of the form "com.viewername.savedstate". Toss all of those folders, as something in any one of them might be causing launch failures.

If you can bring more detail, do it by editing your question rather than asking another one. This will keep everything in one thread and avoid pushing other unanswered questions off the front page.
