Some Avi's mesh items very stretched and deformed.

Hi, was wondering why this is happening.

I have recently bought a new laptop, and installed Firestorm. For the vast majority of time, mesh items rezz perfectly. It has happened on three or four different occasions now, that I have seen a mesh item of clothing, that is stretched & mangled way out of proportion, across the screen, and sometimes the item of clothing appears to have migrated to another avatar in its horribly stretched form, while the owner's avi is invisible where the item of clothing should be. I might add that there are other avi's nearby this person, who's mesh clothing are rezzed perfectly.

What's up with that?

Go to the Hair Fair or some other really busy lagged out sim and, on landing, you'll likely see so many mesh monstrosities that it could put you off wearing mesh for life. Transparent bodies, enormous mesh outfits, often horizontal stretching halfway across the screen, that have yet to shrink to fit avatars etc. Some do rez quicker than others and all will rez correctly eventually but it is nightmarish at first.
