Clothing Mesh Help? It would mean a lot!

Hey Everyone! I am new to meshing, and It would mean a lot if I could get your help making mesh clothing.

 

I have Avastar, and I know how to import it to the Blender, I'm stuck as to how the hack to add clothing to it seperatly, or does it connect? I just need some tips or pointers, I will pay if needed...but really would hope I wouldn't need to. lol, But Rl is a mess atm, and I don't expect anyone to understand that, but please let me know...meshing is my only job I will have if someone can help me mesh a shirt atleast to just show me what is involved...
