GamerBoiAlan
My question is, if the shirt I created has a 24 land impact, is there a way I can make it 1 prim land impact? If so, how?
Rolig Loon
If it's worn, Land Impact doesn't make any difference. Your shirt won't affect the prim count in the sim it's on unless you rez it on the ground. If the shirt is so complex that it has a L.I. of 24, though, you may have trouble getting it to appear properly in world. Customers may find that they are standing around looking gray or partly invisible while their graphics cards chug along, trying to render the shirt. If nothing else, you can start by reducing the number of vertices in your mesh. Let textures do more of the work of shading folds and wrinkles. GamerBoiAlan
Sorry didnt make myself as clear, I want to rezz in my store on a shelf instead of using a clothing vendor and wanted to know if it was a way to lesser the prims of the shirt
Rolig Loon
Oh. That's different. Well, if it were my store, I think I'd set all LODs but the High-LOD to zero vertices, on the theory that nobody is going to have to see the model from very far away anyway. Then apply the simplest Physics model you can make, since you don't have to worry about how people collide with it. That should reduce the physics cost quite a bit.
