My main (premium) account is inaccessible. Login keeps failing. Any advice?

My main (premium) account is inaccessible. Login keeps failing. I can't reset my password, because the email linked to the account is no longer in use.

Is my account locked out, blocked, suspended or what?

What can I do?

I filed a support ticket, but apparently that can take ages....

Thanks for any hints :)

I have heard that there was a major security breach in a web site owned by one of the largest landlords in Second Life. As a result many passwords were stolen. Many people used the same password on that web site as they do in Second Life, so Linden Lab put all the possibly compromised accounts on hold. You need to go through the password recovery process to make a new password.

Yes, if you no longer have access to the email address on file with Linden Lab, you need to file a support ticket.
