Need tutoring. Please Help.

If you mean a whole new avatar, you will need to learn to make mesh and texture it, as well possibly make animations and scripts for it too, depending on the kind of avatar you want to make.  These are a lot of skills to learn for a beginner, but not impossible with time and perseverance.

You will also need some outside software, a 3D modeling program and a graphics program, Blender and Gimp are free and will do the job.  Blender will enable you to make mesh, Gimp the textures for it.

Because it would take a massive amount of time for a tutor to teach you all this on a one to one basis, you can't expect them to do it for free..  On the other hand, you can take classes in all of these things.

You will need to take classes in basic building, blender, creating textures, at minimum.  Of course you may already have some of these skills depending on your experience.  If so then you should probably take a basic building class and a class about how mesh works in SL.

You may want to go to Builders Brewery and take classes there.  They are free. There are also a number of other schools that teach these classes either for free or a modest fee.  Look for them using search or events, and then go visit them to see what the schedule is and fees, if any.  I know Builders Brewery has a group you can join so that they can notify you of classes scheduled.

If you do decide to go the tutor route, advertise for a tutor in the employment section of these forums.
