Prim media plays for a second and then stops. Please help :)

Okay, its not for me, its for a friend - she has updated her shockwave to the "other browsers" version via http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ and she can see the media for a second before the "Play" button on the top right turns back to its off position. We've checked that its enabled, but it still stops after only a second. Has anyone else seen this before? I am at a loss! She is using the regular SL current download viewer.
