Floating Text has gone? How to get it back?

Its not the scripts. I have checked all them. I am assuming its a setting in sl because I have been playing around with them.

If tou really mean "Floating Text", see this thread:

If you mean "Hover text" that appears when your mouse hovers on objects, go to debug settings > ShowHoverTips: set to "true" instead of "false" to activate them back.

Could you please give some more details?  

What do you mean by "floating text" in this context?   I don't understand if you mean hover tips -- the information you see if you float your mouse pointer over items -- or hover text -- the text people set to show over prims.

Also, what viewer's settings were you playing around with when the text, whatever it was, vanished?    I ask because a lot of TPVs let you change settings that aren't readily accessible in the official viewer, so knowing the viewer would help people to guess what you might have changed.

If you mean hover text, the only way I know to make that vanish is with RLV functionality in various TPVs -- is that a possibility?
