Terraforming issues for beginners?

A couple of questions about terraforming for beginners if I may:

- What are the best guides to terraforming tools and techniques?

- Is there an in-world group for terraforming advice?

- Specifically right now, is there an 'undo' tool?  A friend has used 'revert' without understanding it and has ended up with the Himalayas on their land!  :)  I guess this puts it back like the previous landowner had it.

- Is there a way to return all the parcel to dead flat original form with a few simple moves?
