Hi I'm Kyan Michigan in world and have been in SL on and off now for a fair amount of years. As I had a break recently, I no longer have a wide circle of friends overall especially Gay friends who I can hang with and maybe eventually forma a relationship with one particular individual. I am in a very similar position to you.  Long-time SL user, also in the UK, drifted away in about 2009 and recently returned to find that none of my old friends ever log in any more and most of the old places I used to hang out have gone (mainly the old Boots Beach, and Manifesto Island).
