Wanting to Edit the Curious Inc. Chinchilla

Hey everyone, I have what I hope is a fairly simple question.

I have a Curious Inc. Chinchilla avatar, and Iwant to edit the skin just a teensy bit. Basically, I want to add a spot over one of the eyes, and add spots on the arms. That's it. But I want to do this, with keeping the original Chinchilla skin's shading. Does anyone know if there is a way to do that?

I would suggest to make a tattoo layer, thats less complicated than editing the skin itself.

Is this a skin painted onto the default avatar body, or is it an attachment?

@ Syo - I didn'tthink of that, I've never made a tattoo before. This is my first forray into modding that isn't just resizing/retexturing with an already done texture/re-positioning

 

@Chosen - Um, well, the Skin is a skin, on it's own. While the textures on the head are are just normal textures.
