Rez Mode
I was wondering if there was any official word on the change to the Secondlife website login page I may have missed. Previously it was:; https://secure-webX.secondlife.com (where X was a positive integer). Now I am getting:; https://id.secondlife.com/openid/login?return_to=https%3A%2F%2Fsecondlife.com%2Fauth%2Foid_return.php%3Fredirect%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fsecondlife.com%252Findex.php&language=en-US Anyone else notice this change and was there any word? I've checked the blog, forums and grid status but seen nothing. I would have thought this would be notified so interested if I missed it.
Thinkerer Melville
I have not seen any mention of that change. And I am not seeing that in the pages I would think of as the login page. Here is an example of what I get when I go to a page for new people: http://secondlife.com/whatis/?lang=en-US But I am logged in automatically, so I would not see a normal page where people would login. The url you are showing looks like a redirection, perhaps to a specified sim. I would always be suspicious about new and long urls, though. So you are wise to check it out. Ry0ta Exonar
I didn't notice when it changed but on googling both urls, I'd say it was at some point in 2010. Both urls are legitimate though. edit to correct
Ziggy21 Slade
Yes i have it set as a homepage and it failed to load for me last night until I went to SL.com and went thru that way.
Rez Mode
The change occurred within the last week. I created a browser home page with frames of sites I visit regularly. My SL Dashboard was one of these frames. If you login in the regular way from the SL homepage, you wouldn't notice this change but anyone who has the login page hard-coded into their own html would notice it.
