Is it just me or does the latest splash page completely miss the point about SL music. The music scene in SL is live and vibrant. It's not sitting around listening to Mp3 players, It's being in a crowd enjoying the sounds of either a live artist or a rocking DJ. What it isn't is what the splash pages seem to convey.  that it is siting alone struming your guitar, Listening privatly with your partner on headphones so the neighbours don't complain. I supose the girls dancing may have been at a club but again why the headphones in a club situation. The last pic as far as I can see at least has a touch of humour to it. It is suposed to portray a live gig by a track singer. Her quality mustn't have been the best because the guy beside her has ear protection on

The photos are beautiful, and a vast improvement on the old in-house photography. As they should be, since they're taken by some of the best-known and best-loved fashion photographers in SL. But if the point was to entice the casual passerby into SL to check out the music, I think it's a miss. Come to SL and listen to your iPod? Come to SL for the karaoke?

It would have been better to have photos of real live music performances in SL. Or maybe staged and posed with generic avatars so as to deflect possibile criticisms of favouritism, advertising or FIC influence.
