i was editing my preferenes and now all menu windows are transparent and hard to read.

SO now after editing preferences, all the menu windows are transparent and hard to read and i cannotr function like this.  how do i get the back to fully opaque?

In the official viewer, go to your preferences > colors > floater opacity: push the slider to 100%

Same in Firestorm: Preferences > colors > Floating Window Opacity

If that doesn't work, find the settings file in 

C:\Users\[user_name]\AppsData\Roaming\SecondLife\user_settings\settings.xml (Win 7 & 8)

Rename the file and then start the viewer. The viewer will build a new file using all the default settings.
