I want to cash my lindens out of secondlife into my paypal account, do i need to sell them on exchange first or can i just transfer them as dollars to my paypal account? And where on my dashboard do i do this?

In the Linden Exchange section, click "Manage" and then go to sell.
After you sell them the US$ credit will be on your account & you then click "Process Credit" to send that to your paypal account. This part takes about 3-5 days.
