How do I sell my lindens and receive them in Real Life?

Hello everybody. I am curious how I can sell my Linden dollars. I understand it is on the exchange, but I have been scared to click the 'sell' button because I don't know what is going to happen to the money. I am abviously interested in receiving this money in RL but don't understand how I am going to without giving Linden Labs my financial information.

I apologize if this question has been asked before. I am a long time Second Life user, however haven't been in world in a long time.

When you sell $L, the proceeds are transferred to your $USD balance.

To get the money out of Second Life, you do have to give financial information.  More specifically, you must have a "verified" PayPal account, one that is linked to a RL bank account or major credit card.

Once you have that set up, and have designated it as your preferred payment method, you can do a "Process Credit" transaction to transfer some or all of your $USD balance to your PayPal account.  This process takes 5 to 7 business days...weekends and holidays don't count.
