The games are prohibited? or will it be banned?

Pi Games Owners:

The new system that we have just rolled out in Fish Bowl is 100% compliant with Federal law. As many of you have received letters from Linden Lab asking you to defend your game halls, you will understand the situation we have been placed in. Rather than running games that are not 100% compliant, our in-house legal counsel has ensured us that all the new Tournament version Pi Games are within the Federal law. To answer some of the questions we have received about this new system:

- The games are still in beta and not available for purchase. The old vendors have been shut down as all future Pi Games will be the Tournament versions. These will be available for purchase in the near future.
- The new Tournament versions will not run with any add-ons that are not distributed by Pi Games. This also ensures that they are within Federal law. Replay boards distributed by Pi Games will be available.
- If you would like to continue running your current Pi Games, technically they are still allowed under the current TOS, so this is 100% up to you. As Pi Games is a real life international game company we are required hold ourselves to a higher standard. This includes following all Federal and State regulations. It is not up to us to enforce Linden Labs Terms of Service. We will not be requiring anyone to shut down their games until Linden Lab clarifies their position.
- We are in the process of developing more Tournament versions, and when they have been fully beta tested we will make them available for general purchase.

I don't know who wrote the content in your post, but Federal law only has a minor bearing on what users of Second Life are allowed to do. Linden Lab - as operator of Second Life - allow users certain freedoms within the constraints provided by US Federal law, but with a further reduced set of rules.

The rules that Second Life users (creators and consumers) must follow are here, with the specifics on gambling here.

I have no idea who Pi Games are, or what they provide. Odds are that if LL doesn't like what you're doing (regardless of whether you 'technically' comply to Second Life rules - and complying federally is irrelevant), they'll tell you in no uncertain terms.
