Hi; I just booted an spare Windows 7 desktop, updated the graphic card, and booted the viewer.

If I get the camera closer to my avatar; the tint on their ears are brighter, making it a bit unfitting... (in my opinion)

I also turned the graphics up into "mid", and th objects still look the same.

It's possible that you're wearing something that is a light source - it was popular for jewelry makers, etc. to have their items create small amounts of light to accentate them. The shading on the ears looks like they may be picking up a worn light source.

Also it looks like you're running very low graphics and many current object makers tune their items for higher-spec viewing.
