SL Viewer problem : no world display

I have not been playing Second Life for more tha a year...I'd like to play it again

I made a clean install of the latest viewer 3.3.0 (I also tried 3.2.6 and 3.2.8)

And I have a big problem: the only thing I can see is the sky (wherever I go)
I can also see my and others avatars names, thats all

The viewer itself seems to work fine when it comes to menus, windows, keys, everything is ok, but no world and avatars display :/

Any idea to fix this issue ?

Please go into "Help" - "About Second LIfe" and cut and paste the imformation there into a reply in this thread. Also go into the "Advanced" menu (Ctrl-Alt-D) and go to "Rendering Types." Make sure that all the entries have a check mark next to them. If they don't, select them to put the check mark there.

I had a problem somewhat like that a couple of years ago.  Turned out to be a failing router.  SL uses ports not used by browesers, so everything else worked fine.  Here is an article on fixing problems like this:

Now I have some good news, I installed Phoenix 1.6 and everything works fine ^^

Still wondering why SL Viewers do not work, but at least I can play

I also am having the EXACT same problem. Can u tell me where i can DL this Phoenix 1.6? Hopefully that will fix my problem
