  1. *sighs..really...i`m now17 years in grid don`t u believe i`m not fit in such things?! Positions and sizesof furnitures ,banks, racks are to small configured, if they are created with Firestormviewer, so i sit with my feet in ground by normalsit on chair, do i lift the X axis up with the sitteradjust , my feet get out of the ground but i hovering then. And No 1,75m is no childsize but when you set your shapesize in FS to 1,75 you are for Lindenlabmeasuredviewers only 1,55 cm tall..if anyone sets his RL size especially to 1,60 so he/she less in grid 20 cm`s and is only 1,40 cm tall.
  2. Sorry thats the diffrent of reading and understanding. Simple check out tallness of your ava in edit form check size... change nothing, log in Lindenviewer and check again. Don`t tell me it`s same or about scripting. diffrent size is diffrent size.
  3. Details ansehen Details ansehen Yes, that's the problem. Creators who design their content, use their alternative avatars to adjust the poses for their stuff, also mostly use the Firestorm, with the wrong size (btw. correctly measured according to the metric system!), with the effect that the regular Linden avatars (according to the Linden system measured) usually stand with their feet in the ground. The avatars are also getting smaller and smaller, so that with my viewer (Catznip), which measures according to the regular Linden system, with my 1.75m next to male avatars, who are then usually "only" around 1.55m tall, I look like a giraffe, what annoys me. Now you could say i change my shape to 1.55 m to adapt to the general trend, but then I sit in several armchairs like a doll with legs hanging in the air. This chaos is untenable, especially since I keep seeing avatars that by lawrights are more likely to be child sizes but are hanging around on Adultsims.
  4. Because this is not the task of separate viewers to set up their own measurement rules. It is/should be up to Lindenlabs to set the rules for who measures what and how. The correct way would be to convene a conference or coordinate this with all other 3rd party viewers, so that measuring procedures are handled uniformly and the sizes of the avatars are not corrupted and split into two camps, as is happening now. As i wrote, check your shapesize in FS, Log in with Lindenlabviewer ,or catznip and check out. You will see that your size is shorter than in FS.Shapemeasure.
  5. I agree that there were always small complications. I've been at it for too long not to have noticed every nuance or to get upset, but the attachments thing has been extreme lately, never used to be the case and even happens with teleports from one region to another. The stupid thing about it is that you don't notice the whole thing and hopefully you have an attentive observer who will point out that you standing there, without a head or something similar.
  6. 🙂 Thanks for the hint, which I hadn't realized yet, but I still don't have a bigger jump option than just a single side step wich would help bit more anyway thanks for the tip 🙂
  7. Best to use a prim to measure height if it's important to you. Tucking one of your height into the body/shape folder to you can easily make adjustment on any viewer. U are right and i agree that Lindens Measure is crap in between of Avatar and other size measures. But Linden or the Lindenviewer is the benchmark. Since the founding of Lindenlab and Second Life it has been known, that the avatars are about 1/3 larger than in reality, means all buildings and dimensions are designed for this size and so far all viewers have been based on this standard. Now, a well-known 3rd party viewer has switched to setting other standards in the size range, with the effect that furniture built content for users designed with this viewer, are for other users/viewers, including Lindenlab's own viewer, becoming too small for avatars that conform to the Linden system. An example, many users use their own height as level in Sl, if I set this to 1.75 m (54% aspect ratio) in the Lindenviewer/shape or other viewers such as Catznip, save it, then log in with the Firestorm, I suddenly have one height of 1.95 m. As a result, people who use Firestorm set their height/shape to 1.75 m are for Lindenviewerusers or other 3rd party viewers, only 1.55m tall and the avatars in the grid are getting smaller and smaller. I'm not saying Linden's version is better, but measuring with different sizes corrupts the web and content into 2 camps and should be one standard. It probably came across wrong, this error has not only existed since the last update but has been around for quite a while, but apparently nobody else is surprised that the avatars for Lindenlevel users are sometimes only 1.35 m tall and getting smaller and smaller. Just try it yourself, look at your shape size in Firestorm, don't change anything, log in with the Lindenviewer and then compare the size I apologize for all the problems with reading, because as I do not live in the English-speaking area, I use the google translator for more complex texts, which does not allow any formating, but I hope that this is now understandable.
  8. I have to say, after all these years, Linden Labs is making it. again and again to surprise you negatively. Since the last apparently major update or whatever you like to call it, there have been serious bugs again and again. It starts with the fact that attachments are displayed as attached, you can even mark/edit them but not remove them, which shows that the attachments are not really attached but are missing,. you can only add them again, after a restart. Next is just disappear Hud`s from the previously saved (own) or positions specified by the creators. These can be temporarily pushed back into the screen, but after use they move back to the position outside the screen. This phenomenon occurs causally if you have selected a different size setting "screen scale" in the settings. It has also happened that HUDs are added in the original content of the creator, but are not displayed on the screen, they are turned around (certainly not by the creator) and are therefore invisible from behind. Furthermore, someone has installed a decent bug, which concerns the processing of scripts. So I have a hud that had changed/played/altered default poses in chronological order. Since the last update everything has been mixed up, a logical sequence is no longer recognizable and only works in a completely confused way. It is also completely incomprehensible to me how Linden can allow the 3rd party viewer to completely corrupt the proportions of avatars so that they are displayed with a 20 cm difference in the shape settings when you switch back and forth between the viewers. Last but not least: Has anyonetake a look at the sequence on Marketplace?! If you are now looking for an article, you can only jump one page forward. If you want skip all $0 offers, you can no longer do 5 steps but have to skip all the pages INDIVIDUALLY and have no way of skipping them, which makes them completely useless unless you have a day to spare. Maybe you make the effort every now and then to check things before you install them and completely mess up the entire content. For any inquiries, I'm willing to help
  9. it makes no sense to discuss if you not realize the problem of btw. u already see it in ur own screenshots.. thats not only between Lindenviewer and Firestorm, also Catznip measures the same as Linden`s: Read my last post again...i didn`t change anything as i take the screenshots..two of three Viewers say Firestorm is wrong especially Lindens own viewer. Thats the fact accept or not, doesn`t intrest me. I showed u, i proved it.. it`s ur turn . Btw. it`s not ur problem..it`s problem for all with normal viewers and my intens was it , hope that one of the Scripters of firestorm fixes that problem . Take care eof
  10. U ar not taller in RL really. If u have a iD card u have to give ur real size for it. no matters wich heels or shoes u wear. If anyone ask you in Rl how tall u are, do u first check out wich heels u wear or simple tell them ur real measure ?! Shapesize is ur size for ur ava..no matters if u wear heels, tiptoes or flatfeet..thats ur size..Firestorm adds it and u are less round about 15-20 cm of ur normal size.
  11. Seems u tested but not listening me. U simple tell me, that Lindens own Second lifeviewer does not work well, great stratement. Simple listen and check it out by yourselt with LINDEN VIEWER may u understand then. Set ur Shapesize as u like. save it.. u can wear Heels Tiptoes, whatever u want, shapesize should be still the same.I Do it simple that everbdy hopefully check it out now what i try to say .Check out scrreenshot. Same time, same place, samme clothing not changing anything... LINDEN Viewer Shapesize= 1,77m , Catznip..shapesize = 1,77m, Firestorm = Shapesize 1,97 m...Proof of evidence enough?? btw u can check it out by yourself too if u don`t trust me. Firestorm has a megabug in his viewer.
  12. Yes, that`s it. Linden Own Viewer also third Party Viewer "Catznip" measures the same size in Shapesettings. If i set 1,77.in shapesize i àm (like rl, no matters if i stay on flat feet or tiptoes or wearing Heels) 1,77m tall. Not so Firestorm if i set my tallness in Linden/Catznipviewer to 1,77 m and change to Firestormviewer u`ll see ((if u are on tiptoes and/or Heels) shapezise is 1,97 m tall . So if ppl orientates to her rl size.., set her shapezize/tallness in Firestorm to.. especially. 1,70m... so they are for Secondlife (and other viewers) only 1,50 m less. So if a creator configure his animations and poses..highness with firestomviewer so it is for standard Sl viewer and all others with correct mesuring corrupted and Avas stay in grond or hovering against theri partners and the for avas will be more less and less.
  13. It` s not the problem to verify mit highness, highness is totaly correct i`m sure Lindens own Viewer ( i tested as verifiy measure) sets the measurepoint for the Grid and its exactly same as my Viewer (Catznip). Shape is 1,77 m and if i add tiptoehighness and heels i go up to around 2m thats absolutely ok and logic. In same configuration Firestorm say`d my shapesize is 1,97 and thats not correct. i`m still 1,77m. So if a creator uses firestorm and configures shape of his testava to a size may 1,80 m. on tiptoes ava is regulair only 1,65m tall thats why all ppl in Grid shrinks and most of creations i use with this configuration bug, standing in floor or hovering on my partner. btw.that`s not the problem and i use hoverleveling for correction, but gridsizes will be completely corrupted in time and lot of confusing. I see really lot of Ava`s with highness to 1,50 and i look with my regulairsize like a giant beside..
  14. I´m here since really long time and every one knows, thats normaly SL life ist btw 1/3 taller then normal life. So good so far. Since a while i realize that avas and in combination, racks, furniture doesent fit for normal sizes and let me feel like a giraffe, means general measures are messed up and corrupted. At least i realized the solution for it, the Firestormviewer. I use since a while the catznipviewer and thats while i realized this issue by changing and fixing some on my shapemeasures. My shape is 1,77m tall , thats not really much for SL sizes so on tiptoes and heels often close up to 2 m witch is absolutely correct by counting. So Shapesize is measured as reallife if u are 1,77 u ARE 1,77 no matter if and how high ur heels are. But the fail is, Firestorm counts the complete size in shape with heels. So my Size is 1,77 in shape of cantznip dressed and correct..in Firestorm it is 1,97m so if a simple Ava, and girls almost on tiptoes..so u normaly lift u up more then 15 cm.. ur shapesize is 15 cm taller. So if u oriented in ur normal life and think u set ur size close to normal life btw me like 1,77 and u are on tiptoes at this moment and u save..u are regulair 15 cm smaller then the size uset so only 1,62 on flat feet. Thats why allmost new furnitures and poses are corrupted for standardsizes while most creators use Firestorm and doesn`t realize the bug. Just at least i checked and tested wit SL viewer and vindicates my statement , that Firestormviewer has a megabug inside.
