  1. I went back to release 6.6.16 and all hands look normal again! Bug found and reported!
  2. I don't mind beta testing software, I've been doing it for decades. It's just nice to be told that's what you're doing when you're doing it.

  5. That's interesting because whenever I launch Second Life, sometimes I get a "download updated version" and it doesn't give me the option not to, so I just assume that's the latest official release. I didn't realize they were pushing beta viewers at me. Thanks.

  7. It has nothing to do with her hand size numbers. Her hands look completely normal size to her. Scroll up, I posted pics she took.

  9. I run the latest version of the Official Second Life Viewer at Ultra Resolution, everything maxed out, 8x antialiasing. I have a Lenovo gaming computer and a fast connection.

  13. But it's not. I'm talking about my wife, her girlfriends and my own female alt too! I asked them and they confirmed their hands look normal size on their own screens.
  14. Anyone else notice this? Recently I noticed that all of the female avatars I see, (wife, friends and even my female alts) have teeny tiny hands. They used to be normal size, but now they're always tiny. These are Mesh bodies, all different brands, they're wearing the mesh hands, but all I see are these tiny mitts. I'm using the standard SL viewer, running at Ultra Resolution on a gaming computer with really fast internet connection. Anyone have a reason or a fix for this?
  15. I shouldn't have to use an unsupported viewer to stop my neighbor from harassing me and trying to extort 30,000 Lindens from me. The Governance team in world has become less than useless. Linden Labs seems to think they aren't accountable to anyone, least of all their paying customers. The couldn't care less about land fraud as long as they get their cut. Complain too loudly about it and they punish the victim and not the victimizer. Second Life is a dictatorship where the residents have little to no legal recourse for anything that is done to them by other residents, or Linden Labs itself. The people in Libya have more civil rights than SL residents, sad really.
  16. From what I've been told by a concierge supervisor, they no longer handle ANY in world complaints. I was also told that SL doesn't get involved in resident disputes. Concierge basically handles billing issues now and that's it. So there really is no phone support at all for complaints any more. I've filed a complaint for the Better Business Bureau and I suggest others do too if you're not happy with this lack of basic product support. One of their concierge support staff actually issued me an official warning of suspension for complaining too loudly. Accused me falsely of "abusing support staff", talk about thin skinned. This has happened once before in the past. Ask too many questions, or complain too loudly and they either threaten you with suspension, or just do it without warning. So much for the customer always being right or providing courteous, professional support.
  17. Ya'll must be on the Linden payroll because it takes me longer than ever to get concierge on the phone and when I do get them, they can't do a damn thing to help. Just pay a lot of lip service. I guess we must be logging into different SL's because nothing has improved in my eyes. LL is more unresponsive and unreachable than ever before.
  18. Anyone else notice that Linden Labs has reduced support services? It's no longer possible to call concierge and get a live Linden to help you in world the way they used to. It's also impossible to submit a ticket to follow up on in world abuse situations they way we used to be able to do. When you call concierge you get little more than lips service from someone working from home, who doesn't even play SL. They can't answer your questions or help at all. They are in fact, completely useless. And yet I still have to pay the same amount every month to own a full sim of mainland. Something is wrong here Lindens, somewhere along the way you decided that ripping us off is okay? That maybe we wouldn't notice? Well, we have and it sucks! The place is going down the toilet and LL is squarely to blame. Shame.
  19. I got a neighbor who bought a 1024 sqm postage stamp of a parcel in a beautiful seaside mainland sim where everyone else owns almost a third of the sim. He opened a micro club and started using all the sim resources. Then when I closed access to my once public land and converted it to a private home, he got angry at me and put his land up for sale at 30,000 Lindens, and just to make sure that someone who lives there would buy it, he put a sham surfboard shop on the parcel for sale and erected a 100 meter tall surfboard display sign to advertise it. The 100 meter tall surfboard is little more than attempt to extort 30,000 Lindens out of residents to get rid of the hideous thing that towers above everything else in the sim. It was put there to harass and intimidate. And yet, despite dozens of abuse reports and calls to concierge, Linden Labs thinks this behavior is just fine for SL. So I guess it's okay again to 'ad farm' your neighbors and create the biggest eyesore possible when you want to sell your parcel for a ridiculous amount of money. Some things never change, except maybe the reduction in support services that has been happening lately, despite LL charging exactly the same amount for a full sim tier. It is impossible to get a live Linden to help you anymore, impossible to submit a ticket for in world abuse, impossible to reach anyone at Linden Labs who is accountable for anything. Getting real sick of being charged a fortune to own virtual land, and then getting less and less for the money spent every day. You suck Linden Labs!
