[Linden Bears for 2015]

Dear Lindens, how about a new round of Linden Bears to be released in 2015, Maybe for SL11, I am sure there are some new faces, that not had the opportunity to show us their creative flare with a bear.

 hi folks,  I have a project that I am presently working on, and need some guidance please.

Firstly I want to say if you can post links to recommended learning pages or offer commented examples, that would be wonderful, as I have Goggled and Wiki'd  (seems a lot now) over the last  days  in search of info,  A)  I got it, but seemed to not answer my thoughts on what I have to do, or B)  seemed way over my understanding,  I could not find the middle ground, with  SL to off world communication.

What I try and do.:   I would like to Start a MetaBolt scripted AV,  via a in world script.  Now I get the HTTP/:  of sending the message, I can't though, join the dots between sending the message and starting a  .BAT file.

( I  intend to  run from my computer while I work on this, so no external server at moment- also I don't think I will use it often enough too require a Server, I'll just take the bandwidth hit..)

once this project sorted and my confidence grows I would like too  create a data base using SQL(that's down the track though, as I only a little way into the SQL and PHP  manuals/books).

oops! sorry,  I should explain what I kind of picture or understand as the steps involved,

1. send the request (LSL script HTTP: ).

2. I will need a  program listening to the port on my computer, for  a trigger(password and trigger string) most prolly a little .exe file  in C#.

3. the .exe file  triggers/runs  the BAT file.

4. send a responce back too the LSL script, to complete the   HTTP: .

Yes! exactly,  the gotcha was I did't realize I had to tier down( I had tier down the AV,  but not the group)... very aware of now though

it not a cost thing,  just I not wish to pay for twice, just being over cautious I guess- ( i still carry scares from being charged land fees, when had Nil land holding for a couple months, and not understand where me US $ were going)...

HI, folks, How do I cancel a Market place  order..?

I placed a order, it's been two days since the order was  placed, and no delivery, it sitting there with the  Mustard coloured window saying it qued for delivery,  we seemed to have  passed the  8 hr delivery test time, clearly the delivery isn't  going to happen.

So  yep I can go  to inworld  store and  purchase... or find simular and purchase....

My concern is( and  the way things  function in my life this is  exactly what will happen),  as soon as I find and purchase  the alternative, the  electrons will work themselves out(either by someone spilling there coffee over a keyboard somewhere, or  the moon lines up with  Mercury with Venus  rising)  to deliver this item, and I will get charged for it, and there  does not seem to be a button to  cancel  the order/purchase...

so  I would be correct in thinking I have too engage the  services  of the  support team- file a ticket, to resolve  this.

just seems to be a  waste of  the support teams time for the lack of a Button, if  there is not one,  if there is a button, can  someone be  kind enough to send  directions to  find it  please...

[Purchasing A New Laptop!]

Hi  Teddie,

I am curious   about  how  you are  finding   the Laptop performance  with Second Life,    did you end up getting the  i5  with the ATI Modility 5450..   How are you finding it's  performance.

 Is there any Official confirmation that zfRedZone  is  banned.? I am confused as  what I have read  between SLuniverse the RedZone Forums and here, the only Official word has been  that the  systems  can nolonger  disclose ALT information(a win  ..huge win).....

I see that the  System is  still available  for sale  at the store- I am guessing that it has been modified to no longer disclose  ALT  information (  the  word  on the RedZone Forums)...

 

I note  with interest that Soft Linden encourages us  to AR  the  system  and those  using it,  and goes on to qualify this  some  re-enforcing   the  gathering of  evidence  to support the AR, now  that a bit of a  clanger for me,  because I have  never found anyone  happily  disclosing ALT information to me, that has been gained  using any of these ALT  disclosing systems   in fact  the  opposite  it seems there is a  small circle  that this information circulates  within..Additionly  I have  never been able to TAP a  skull  no  matter how well it hidden,  and  it  gives me  a  list  of  things  it doing,  So how  do you AR  something you know  exists,  but you have not direct evidence of  it,  doing an AR'able action.

So have we  been duped into a  sense of  security by  Spin,  and ZFire goes to ground  and takes the RedZone  community underground    till the dust settles and  then brings the  system back in full  function under a  more discrete manner

I notice  also that the  Zf RedZone Forum  site is  no-longer  accessible(can't be a bad thing), could this  be evidence  that  the  RedZone  is  under investigation  and the site  is getting pulled  down,   or is it  xFire's reaction to having site  Hacked(  gotta  loveit when a  Hacker gets  hacked-giggles)- I can almost vision  zFire ( the  Mad Scientist)  CrackerJack( the Henchman)  huddled  in there  bunker    planning  there next move--oh wait  maybe    zFire  and CrakerJack the  same  person   .. Wahoo!!!   have I just developed  my own ALT  detector( a little  dubious in accuracy   but hey!..,   seems to work for others)  ..

 

on the  Upside    I am a  strong believer in No-News is good  news, I  am assuming the position that  LL  is  being Poker face   about this  issue,   much like a   duck on a  pond   what we  see is very little  but  under the  water  there  is  feverish  action, as they  code and seek legal  direction....

 I continue  to watch this  as  I am guessing   most of   us  will..
