The song is one of Arlo Guthrie's most prominent works, based on a true incident from his life that began on Thanksgiving Day 1965 with a citation for littering, and ended with the refusal of the U.S. Army to draft him because of his conviction for that crime.
The "song" is in fact a spoken monologue, presented by Shandon Loring today for your listening pleasure or just to groan at and be Thankful when it's over.

Yearly refund from Lindens = 1,000L$ + 300L$x52 = 16,600L$ = $66.40 (assume 250L$/USD)
$72 - $66.40 = $5.60Yes, but that refund is in L$! Well, I would submit if you're not spending that anyway then you're not really participating much, but hey, YMMV

Regarding "Events".. The Seanchai Library has been presenting Live Storytelling events 5 days a week since 2008.
These are not hosted DJ music, these are not adult grabby feels, these are not dancing...
These ARE free, live audio stories presented by professional storytellers in front of a live audience, with live video and chat links to opensim where the show is presented simultaneously, and both audiences can interact during the storytelling. Every event is professionally hosted to provide a pleasant and fun experience.Kinda like audiobooks, only live, and free! And with a fun audience.
"Events" can be more than dancing and music and sex... If you've never experienced SL "Events" besides dancing and music, come check us out.

STORYTELLING IN LIVE VOICE Presented in Duet by Caledonia and Shandon Arthur Creed moves his family into the House on Hickory Hill in Banewich, Massachusetts to write his next ghost book on the history of this house where a former family was murdered. There are no appearances of anything remotely 'haunted' however, until the youngest daughter Heather wakes in the middle of the night and sees the houses walls bulging and apparently bleeding. She runs to her older sisters room for help, only to find she has been kidnapped, and a ransom note left by Clayton Geech. Clayton Geech who murdered of the former family in the house... but he was executed 40 years earlier!

In George R.R. Martin's world of 'A Song of Ice and Fire' the ice dragon was a creature of legend and fear, for no man had ever tamed one.
'THE ICE DRAGON' is a novella by George R. R. Martin, first published in 1980 in the anthology Dragons of Light. The story was reworked to make it more suitable for a younger audience in October 2007, with detailed pencil drawings by Yvonne Gilbert. It was published again in 2014, with a series of original paintings by Luis Royo.

So don't be surprised to find ice dragons soaring through the skies beyond The Wall and, perhaps, even crossing it in the novels yet to come.
STORY SYNOPSIS

For Adara was a winter child, born during the worst freeze that anyone, even the Old Ones, could remember.Adara could not remember the first time she had seen the ice dragon. It seemed that it had always been in her life, glimpsed from afar as she played in the frigid snow long after the other children had fled the cold. In her fourth year she touched it, and in her fifth year she rode upon its broad, chilled back for the first time. Then, in her seventh year, on a calm summer day, fiery dragons from the North swooped down upon the peaceful farm that was Adara's home. And only a winter child—and the ice dragon who loved her—could save her world from utter destruction.
