  1. Hi there. I'm using a partitioned iMac and it's quite tiresome to switch between partitions every time I want to use Second Life or stay on Windows. See, I had an install of Windows XP previously and Second Life and any other third party viewer ran fine - but after I had to wipe my partition clean I haven't been able to get it installed and working properly (and this is after at least 3 installs of Windows). Now whenever I load Second Life Viewer (or any third party viewer for that matter) I get the texture loading cache and initialization screens but it instantly crashes whenever the viewer log-in screen is going to appear. As far as I know all of my drivers with my card are up to date and the like. Second Life runs fine on my OS X partition minus voice being temperamental and not being able to see rigged mesh (does anyone know anything about that?). As for my Windows partition, I am running Windows XP 64-bit and my card is an ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT *cough cough HACK cough*. I am aware that this card is rather out of date but it runs fine on my other partition and I had no problems with it prior to wiping my Windows partition.
  2. I have a feeling this is a network issue because I've tried on a network seperate from my own and it's fine, and it was fine before when I had service from AT&T. I recently switched over to Time Warner and now every time I try to enable voice I not only get logged out of Second Life, but my entire net dies. I did already go into my router's settings and forward all the appropriate ports, but no luck. I've also tested removing my firewall and DMZ'ing my desktop with no luck (Suggestions I have previously been given). Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone have any suggestions? EDIT: My current router is a Netgear CGD24G.
