Juno Moyet

So I haven't been here on SL in a few years, certainly never posted on the forums. But I'm curious as to how SL would run on this computer with hopefully better graphics. I am running Windows 8 on an Acer with nvidia geforce 640m, 2.6ghz turbo to 3.1ghz. I have it all installed, and I go to launch the game itself and it goes white screen and doesn't go any further. I am unsure as to how to go about fixing this problem. I tried downloading one of the alternate viewers and it does the same thing.
