I often have situations where I have a group's UUID and I need to look up its name. How can I do that? How can I look up an avatar or group's UUID from its name? There once was a time when a few caps existed that that let me do that. I'm unable to find any caps docs anywhere anymore. Other times I would just build a URL and parse the results. Now it seems everything is behind authentication; I can't even search for a group w/o authenticating! Am I missing something here or have all these capabilities been taken away? (I do know about w-hat and use that often but it's only suitable for avatar name->UUID.) Any help would be greatly appreciate; thanks!

I've recently ordered a private island; I selected "Loch Lake" but was delivered "Ruth's Retreat." No big deal as I will be remapping the terrain immediately. But I was wondering ... is there a way to get a copy of the terrain map for each of the four "standard/default" Linden Lab islands - just in case I want to play with each or "try them on?"
