  1. Hello, sorry i'm a bit late in this...Galvana, Belleza skins LilyV1 and LilyV2 have exactly the same skin tones but different faces, the same RGB values are used to match both skins. As i told you in-world your issue was related to SL graphic settings and probably your windlight. I upload here some pictures showing the result matching the shoes through our skin match web system (Belleza Lily skin in medium and pale tone). That's the way the skin match should look for you with the settings that i provided you, if not feel free to contact me anytime. Ty

  2. I guess it was too good to be true...i hope they fix this bug soon, if not the new requeriment of PIOF have NO sense :-S

*This bug has been there for weeks, i think that the first time that happened to me with an alt (get PIOF just by purchasing something in the MP) was about 2 months ago or more...

    Now I understand what happened.

A friend couldn't upload mesh because she had no payment info. One day she asked me why she was marked as PIOF, if never had put a payment in her account, and if she could than make the IP Tutorial. I said her that try wouldn't hurt, thinking it was some bug. But she completed the tuto and is now capable to upload mesh.

In short, LL temselves broke the safeguards they put to upload mesh.

Perfect ...  that's a step forward ...(sarcasm). The main reason for the almost inexistent mesh content theft in SL was because PIOF was required to upload it. Let's see what happens now

  4. I think that the best advertising for creators is people wearing their products (ok, this do not work for furniture^^) and word of mouth advertising- Transferable pictures are not that important and a lot of creators have pictures of their products in the marketplace, Flickr, blogs, etc...so  many products are easy to show  just by clicking a link. .Also there is always the chance to show to your friends the product at the in-world store (more traffic^^)...if you really love that product and you really want to show it a quick TP in world should not be a big deal  Certainly may seem to have no sense to set pictures no copy or no transfer, but i tend to believe that creators are not idiots and probably they have their valid reasons to work in that way.

I have to add... I think merchants that make 50 of the same product in 50 colors should HAVE to use an in-world store and not clutter up the marketplace with that junk.

It's the same product over and over again. It doesn't deserve separate listings. You want to offer separate colors? Make it mod. Or add a HUD. Or do both. Otherwise, you're just being greedy and you should have to pay the tier to host the prims.

I understand that it is really annoying...but I would not blame the merchant for this. they are entitled to sell separate colors in the marketplace (as probably they do in their in-world stores). Is not "duplicate listing spam" since they are different colors.

Linden Lab really needs to rewrite that portion of the ToS to allow for fair use. Despite the reputation it has, there are (IMO) valid reasons to copy an item that don't infringe on the creator's rights, and I would love it if LL agreed so I could actually do so.

Please explain to me how the copyright owner of an item can be sure that you are going to do "fair use" of their item if you get it full permission and you could do whatever you want with it...There are tons of copy items in the market.  Circumventing the permissions of an item it's against the TOS, whatever the reason. Linden Lab do not need to rewrite that portion, you just need to understand that point .

  7. Bernie....unfortunately I have dealt with some copybotters through time in my SL business and reading your posts you have exactly the same mentality and arguments that all of them. You do NOT have rights to circumventing the permissions of SL products W-H-A-T-E-V-E-R the reason.  You can scream  all the way that you have them but  It will not make it real

If someone sells an item NO-MODIFY you have 2 options: buy it or go ahead to buy something else if the no-mod is a problem for you. Break the permissions and if the merchant catch you, check your e-mail waiting for DMCA notice.

  8. From my experience from a time ago Linden Lab is TOTALLY ignoring reports related to griefers, even those who are committing repeated TOS violations  and have been reported by a lot of people for weeks they still login, griefing and laughing at your face...We know that it's hard for LL to handle this issue but evidently not taking ANY action against these people is not the best solution and things get worse.

I just don't see how anyone is being abused, Nuria, if they have the choice whether to buy or not.

I guess that there are a language barrier (my fault)....let me change the term if you prefer for "extremely overpriced"( taking a look to the price margins on the SL market). I think that anyone with a bit of experience in the market (and i'm talking as a customer) would agree that a no transfer poseball for 1,000,000 $L (again: 4,255 USD) is extremely overpriced...and sorry but for me almost it looks like a joke^^.  Said that, Pamela neither you nor me have SO unreasonably high prices for our products and i'm pretty sure that we have similar reasons to not overpricing  in such way.

But...can Sassy set the price that she wants for her products? yessss!

Sassy trust me, my business also "struggle" with those competitors underselling or trending products towards freebie price. It's a pain on the (*).  Even those who sells products from full perm kits (let's be clear, most from the freebie market comes from these kits)  are breaking the licenses from the provider and selling them for lower price than the allowed on the license....i'm in your ship on this.

  10. Hi pamela, sure we agree on this :matte-motes-bashful-cute-2:...but we know that there are certain price margins on the SL market ....and in my opinion (just my opinion^^)  1,000,000 $l for such product is very far from such margins. As i said, merchants can charge whatever they want for their products, that's out of discussion.  I could set one of my products to 500K but that would be (in my view) abusive, looking at the price margins of similar products (competition) and certainly this would not favor my business....(i'm leaving the ethical part aside).

But every business is different, so if Sassy actually is selling the poseballs for 1,000,000 $L, good for her :matte-motes-big-grin:

  11. Probably i should not get involved in this BUT......i'm shocked about the poseball for 1,000,000 $L (4,255 USD according to MP)... Sassy, don't get me wrong, you can charge whatever you want for your work, that is indisputable...but.... 4,255 USD for a (no transfer) poseball that strips the avatar (only the owner)...is not it a bit abusive?....(my english isn't good, maybe i misunderstood? :matte-motes-bashful:)

I do not pretend to sound rude nor disrespectful, do not bite me :matte-motes-wink:

This is exactly what also happened  with my products (from one day to another). Listing filters have radically  changed since few days ago. PERIOD

It does mean something that she did not share his name(
    here or elsewhere
), whether it means something to you or not, I can't say, but it means something to me, which is why I said it. I didn't say you had to agree. She could have easily hinted, given enough clues for us to determine it on our own, could have shared his info outside of SL, if she so chose. But she did not. So yes, the fact that she did not reveal the other party, AT ALL, yet he did come in and reveal his own self, says something to me.

Ima, forgive me if i understood wrong...i already stated that i'm not english speaker^^. BUT...that still does not mean anything to me. Not being allowed to give names here in the forum, not much more she could have done to give clue about Xavier's identity (as far as i know she cannot name store, region, groups etc...either). But if you want to take this as a plus point to Emuna, i have no problem with it.

*EDITED: Xavier came to the forums when he could have remained anonymous. That what it means to me is that he's not hiding and has tried to explain the issue from his side...

About reports, depending on how you draw the situation LL support may suggest you to file a report, my point was that this is not a guilty verdict.

Rya, we can argue about  Xavier manners or that he could have handled better the situation.....but to say (based on the posts)  that he practically accused her of theft is too far from the truth.

Seriously, i give up...lol. Good luck to all with your business!

Emuna's original post did not name Xavier. This is one thing that has stuck in my mind this entire thread. He came here to name his own self. Granted I am sure we all understand why he did, he didn't want his own name defamed, and may have thought that's what was happening. But I'm not certain Emuna did defame him when she came here, because none of us knew who she was talking about. Had the name remained anonymous, I'm willing to bet the thread would have gone differently.

Another point that sticks out to me is that LL told her to AR him. Surprisingly, as dumb as they might seem at times, they don't often say things like that unless they feel there is a need. If they felt so, then I believe Emuna had every reason to feel the same.

I'ts not allowed by the rules of this forum to name people here. I guess that Emuna already knows about this rule, and that's something that also you should know^^....so Ima, that Emuna didn't name Xavier means nothing. About your surprise, anyone that have contacted at some time with LL support knows that the common response (especially regarding personal disputes) is "file a report".  LL support do not act like judges, they suggest you to send a report because in this way the corresponding team (Abuse team) will investigate the issue. Emuna could have sent a report against Xavier, a whole different thing is if the abuse team would have found enough reasons as to have taken some action against Xavier's account.

Emphasis is mine. This is the exact point many disagree with you,I think. It's the exact point I disagree with you on anyway, well one at least. There is never a need for poor manners, regardless of what is going on, never. If, or I should say when
    because we all do it,
you cross the line and behave poorly with poor manners,  it is you(in this case Xavier) that needs to have more understanding, not everyone else around you. We can all probably remember a time, if not current, then in the past, when we behaved poorly and wish we had done it differently. Sometimes some people use those moments as learning tools. An apology for our bad choices, or poor actions, can go a long way. Those of us who are parents raise our children to apologize for their mistakes and misgivings, do we not? Why do we let go of that ideal when it comes to grown adults, who really should know better and should practice what they preach?

Ima...I'm not trying to justify the Xavier manners. I already said that he probably was a bit rude or harsh in the notecard (though none of us knows for sure how harsh he was as we have not seen such notecard)...I said as well that probably  he could  been nicer in the way to contact the OP...but seriously, is that a major reason to create such drama? not in my opinion.

    Congratulations Deja!!:matte-motes-grin:
