  1. I'm finding the same problems over the past week and I'm in the UK. My ISP is British Telecom and I'm on Superfast Broadband, truely unlimited, fibre to the cabinet in the street. No change in line speed according to http://www.speedtest.net/ and this site lets you check the line speed from Phoenix where I believe the Linden Data Centre is located. Firestorm seems to be affected worse that the Linden Main Viewer but both viewers are suffering with slow loading textures when teleporting into a sim. It's almost as though CDN is no longer working, everything is as slow or slower at times than it was before CDN went live. I'm pleased in a way to have found this thread as it is good to see I'm not suffering alone.
  2. Thank u both for your replies. :matte-motes-big-grin-wink: Darius
  3. I really would like answers to this question. It's just one of the many small niggles about mesh that prevents me from buying mesh clothes. So often I and friends of mine have either bought mesh clothes or mesh demos and found the alpha layer is just not quite right, either doesn't hide enough of the body or hides too much. So, having a little skill of my own at making alpha layers, I look to see what the creators alpha layer looks like only to find it's no modify and therefore I have to start completely from scratch with my own alpha layer, working by guessing! Another problem is that some of my shoes have alpha layers I've created myself and it would be nice to add my own foot alpha texture to the alpha layer for the mesh outfit, specially if it's a top, but again all too often I find the alpha layer is no modify. Yes, I know I can add more than one alpha layer but how many times, in a hurry or not paying attention, do u wear instead of add! I just wondered what what was so terribly secret about alpha layers.
