Cat Boccaccio

Recently mesh purchases (from both Marketplace and inworld) have simply disappeared from inventory. Currently I am actually wearing a mesh item but it only shows up in inventory as a link as part of an outfit.(link) (worn on left pec) but not as a separate item in inventory. Should I remove this mesh item it will disappear from inventory. The demos of the dress are unchanged and still accessible, but the dress itself is gone. This happened in my previous Firestorm viewer so I updated to v 4.2.2.2 with no improvement. I can't purchase anything more until this is somehow resolved. Can anyone help? Thanks! Cat Edited in response to Abigail (thanks!): I have now done the following: --cleared cache, both inworld and offline. Waited for inventory to load, relogged. --clicked "Find Original" (nothing happened) --every other bit of advice I could find. I am wearing the mesh item, but it is nowhere in my inventory and when I detach it, it will disappear (this has happened before, different mesh item, different creator). If this had happened once, I would have considered it a fluke and moved on, but this is the second time. Very strange. Thanks for any help! C.

It's true there are some incredible trolls at newbie areas. But I do remember the most frequent question from new avs, some form of, What do I do now? The answer is reminiscent of the answer to my own RL question many years ago. What do I do on the internet? (What do you WANT to do?)

Is there still a mentoring program for new residents that is blessed by LL? I remember awhile ago clicking through some links on the website for a volunteer program, to be finally that they were "not taking any new applicants". Surely with the low rate of noobs sticking with SL (is it under 15%? and no resident growth?) this should be something to consider reviving. I have enjoyed so much of SL over the years and would love to share what I've learned, or simply help out someone new, and I know there are many like myself out there. Is there a general/miscellaneous forum for topics like this? If not, how strange. (First time posting :)) [edited for typos]
