  1. I recently updated my computer and now have I7 quad core with 16mb ram and Nvidea video card with 2mb dedicated ram. My connection is at about 6000kbps. But a few seconds after I log on I stop being able to move. I can trun. but not move forward or back or jump. it was fine with the old slow machine. I think it MUST be a setting of some sort. Any thoughts? I see someone else having posted the same problem and solving it but using SL Development viewer. I tried that but its exactly the same. Any help to an increasingly frustrated woman? 2. I upgraded to a new computer. I have an Intel I7 quad core with 16Gb ram running Win 7 16 bit with an Nvidea videa card with 2GB dedicated video. Broadband seems fine - its fine to view video and movies. But I am a white cloud and I can't move or TP and I get messages saying that SL can't locate the items of clothing I am supposed to be wearing although they appear fine in the inventory. Even though I don't move when I press the arrows or click on the "Move" graphic, if I log off and on again I seem to have successfully moved as I'm in a different place. I'm thinking maybe firewall of something?? some security setting?? I am pathetic with techy things. Help???
  3. I have precisely the same problem as Mystik Aeon but sadly none of the suggestions apply. I have been a resident for many years. I have at last upgraded my pc and there absolutely no chance of low bandwidth issues or somethign else running and taking up processor. I have tried logging off and one half a dozen or more times over two days and the problem is if anything getting worse. The first few times I rezzed fine and can turn around but not jump and not move. I tried clicking nearby "sit here" things and seemingly nothing happened but when next I logged on I had moved there. The last few times I have logged on now I don't rezz and I am a white cloud. I am thinking firewall or some security thing? I tested broadband speed - its about the middle of the spectrum that my supplier predicts. I can easily run every other application. any suggestions that don't involve having no internet or crumbs behind the keys?
