Called support as per my other inquiry (Listed here: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Shopping/Why-is-my-PayPal-transaction-still-pending/qaq-p/740251 ). Was unable to get the issue resolved over the phone, I was told to try and get hold of someone dealing in "Marketplace Transactions", but perhaps I'm not quite sure where exactly that needs to go. Made a purchase on the marketplace and decided to use Paypal to handle the transaction. Paypal indicates that the status is Pending and that Authorization from LL is required. I've used Paypal before and it is always almost immediately processed. Why is there this hold on the transaction?
