  1. I just finished a clean install of Firestorm 2.2.2 (on a Mac w/ Mountain Lion OS) hoping this would solve the problem but it did not. Are there preferences to activate? Caches to delete? Overides to solve this problem? Thanks for any response. Super thanks for any answer that works! 8-) TO LINDA KIDD: THANKS FOR THE ANSWER! AFTER ALL OF MY PHOENIX/FIRESTORM EXPERIENCE, I NEVER THOUGHT TO CONTACT THE SUPPORT GROUP. SECONDLY, I HAVE FOUND YOUR BLOG TO BE BOTH VERY INTERESTING AS WELL AS VERY REFLECTIVE OF THE SL I KNOW AS IN YOUR POSTS ABOUT TRUST AND BEING PATIENT (BUT NOT TO A FAULT.) THANK YOU.
  2. Thank you Kylie, Rival and Dora for taking the time and for good ideas. Dora's approach seems most simple and reasonable in that the worst that could happen is that one party could opt out at the last moment but would lose either a piece of land OR the value of a piece of land... but not both. Thanks to all!
  3. Is there a safe way to swap, trade one plot of land for another parce? Example: two landowners want to trade their repective parcels. So far, all I can think of is that each sets the price of land for $L1 and and designates the other as the only possible buyer. (naturally, there might also be a cash transfer between parties in cases of "I'll trade mine for yours plus $L1000") But... one party could buy the other's land and then reset his/her land quickly back to not for sale. Am I left with only trustworthiness?
  4. Hmmm... well, I haven't completely given up. But there does not seem to be an easy answer, at least not at my beginning level of scripting. Thanks everyone for your replies and thoughts! Yipp
  5. As will become obvious, I have little scripting experience. I'm trying to imitate an amusement park type ride. One sits in a spinning 'car' at the end of an arm which revolves about a central hub. So, I build a cube-hub, a cylinder arm and a cube-car and link them with the cube-hub as the root. Next I insert this simple script into the cube-hub and also into the cube-car: default { state_entry() { llTargetOmega(<0,0,1>,.2,1.0); } } From afar, he cubes move as I want them to. When I sit on the cube-hub, I revolve nicely. BUT, when I sit on the cube-car, the cube revolves beneath me! My avatar instead rotates relative to the hub. From reading the forums, I THINK that either what I'm trying can't be made to work or that I need to put extra code in the child prim about Get and Set Local rotation. Any idea or assistance is appreciated. Thanks, Yipp Oh
