  1. Although this obviously seems exciting to developers here, has anybody considered whether it will actually attract more users to SecondLife ?   SL succeeded early on because you could build everything in-world and I suspect that some effort expended on integrating in-world mesh building tools that the average user could use would create far more new interest in SL than facial bones or whatever.  People mostly look at the back of their own head, and others are usually at a distance where they are not going to see facial bones moving anyway.  SL isn't really about having characters of the quality in Frozen or any other film, but more in being able to create environments of that style without spending endless hours importing models from third party toolsets.

  2. I understand the alpha glitch and meet this on normal prims when I have to adjust things to get the correct result.

But here the 32 bit texture is behaving like the old invisibility texture we used to use on prims attached to avatars to hide their waists or feet before the avatar alpha layer was introduced.  To my mind this is incorract

  3. I bought two mesh items full perms to create an outfit.  I've textured the skirt with a jpg but used a tga on the top as I want one part to be translucent to the skin underneath.

If I put on the skirt first and then the top everything is fine but if I put on the top first and then the skirt, the skirt remains invisible.

I've tried linking them together with each as root and the problem then always occurs.

Any ideas to fix this other than wear them in the order that works ?   I can't ask customers not to use the folder Wear All Items option.
