  1. I'm not a real estate agent / business person like a lot of other people on this forum are. I'm just a simple user who has decided to downsize so I've set all of my beach land up for sale.

All parcels are next to each other and located here:

Prices are set lower then the surrounding land to give a deal. You can keep the furniture or return it if you buy the parcel, your choice. I may be willing to negotiate on the price - just message me in game. I need these parcels gone so I  can drop my tier. My pictures don't do the land justice, I'm sure a more experienced landscaper can make them look a lot better then my horrible pictures below...but meh.

largest parcel @ 5216 m2: This parcel is bordered by two bodies of water and you can make the water just about anywhere on the parcel itself, too, like I did for the heart pond.

But they could be made modify and then could be tinted any shade you liked .. make them glow in the dark if you like.

No they can't... Not unless you are the creator of said breedable which none of us  in this thread are, that also has nothing to do with my question or concern.

Hey, I would @Patch Linden this Question. Just so in the Long Line of this Thread Maybe he or someone else of authority with the actual LL will answer it.

    Have a great one. :)

Only trying to be helpful and get your Question looked at by powers at be.

Thank you. The breedables in question that I'm talking about are ones that are RGB based - old school ones, like hunny bunny, alt life turtle, and XS quail. There are literally 10 million different color possibilities so it's not really feasible to make a vendor for each individual quail.

How do you think the rest of us who do not use random vendors, have sold them for many years? We use vendors, mostly multi-item vendors, or sell them individually in some cases. LL isn't likely to address you directly, so why not listen to the people that also sell what you sell, to see how it can be done a different way than you currently use? There are not millions of colors, you certainly don't possess millions of colors even if it were possible millions of them existed in sl, exaggerating does not help anyone and certainly won't give you an answer to your query. It's less likely to be taken seriously, actually.

LL has already answered whether or not random item vendors are allowed. Their answer is that they are not allowed, they are illegal as of September 1, 2021.  They are illegal because the customer does not in fact know what they are getting, they only know one thing about it, gender. No one said anything about lying, LL has stated customers need to know exactly what they are buying, you are not fulfilling that when you use a random vendor.

You still aren't reading my question. You don't sell what I sell, very few people breed the quails, turtles, or  HB. What I'm referencing are RGB Value based breedables with literally no feasible way to list every single one and it's color due to the fact that there are literally thousands, if not millions, of possible colors. There is no exaggeration there because these breedables that I am referencing are RGB based.

    SEE: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=how+many+colors+are+there+in+the+world

"Most researchers are pretty satisfied with quantifying the full color list at 10 million because this takes into account the maximum number of configurations based on the human eye's ability to perceive 1,000 shades of light, 100 levels of red-green shades and 100 levels of yellow-blue shades."

In any case, Linden labs advised me to post my question here because they said the thread is being monitored so YES I expect an answer from LINDEN LABS directly pertaining to this question, which will probably come in the form of a public FAQ like they posted this morning. All other answers are just PURE speculation. You are not linden labs, you do not make the rules, You cannot say for certain what is or isn't allowed.

HOW DETAILED does my vendor have to be in order to be considered okay by linden labs legal team?

    FOR LINDEN LABS TO ANSWER:

Can I simply put female quail and male quail, or do I have to specify the exact RGB value for every breedable in the vendor?

and 7seas: Why is it that you are requiring the caught fish to be no transfer ?  Anyone who buys a caught fish would know exactly what they are buying so I would like to understand the reason and justification behind this decision pertaining to 7seas.

Additionally will the decision about 7seas fish being non-xferable be transferred to other breedables? Basically, is linden labs planning on making all breedable offspring non transferable?

@Velcon Ethaniela random bundle giver is just a gacha with another name.

You have to put your breedables into vendor machines or price them individually the old fashioned way.

    a. You didn't read my question, at all. b. you aren't LL so your response is not valid.

My question pertains to breedables that are color based - like my xS quails, the the hunny bunnies, or alt life turtles.  Not stuff like Amaretto that have a billion known traits.

There is literally NO FEASIBLE WAY to put them in a vendor with a display individually like you are asking, especially since there are MILLIONS OF COLORS. This is why it is a concern for me. Is it legal, or illegal, according to LINDEN LABS  TERMS to put them in a vendor that simply sales "Female quail" or "Male Quail " with no other descriptors?

It's not lying to the customer. They know exactly what  they are getting - a female quail, or a male quail, in my example.

How *detailed* do I have to be about my vendors selling breedable-specific offspring?

This is a question for linden labs to answer. I'm not looking for speculation from anyone else.

  6. a. Why do 7seas fish now have to be no xfer? They have ALWAYS been transfer. If someone gets a fish from 7seas and gifts it / gives it away, that receiver or buyer knows *Exactly* what they are buying, so why this change / rule?
I do not understand why 7seas fish have to be no transfer when selling and trading them doesn't violate gaming laws and isn't gambling. The buyer knows exactly what they are getting.

I am going to be so upset at you guys if you force the creators of 7seas to make all of their fish no-xfer. It ruins the game for me and basically everyone else.  I understand no Gachas - but at what point is too far?

    b. How is this going to affect vendors that give out random breedables. For instance: I have a vendor that sells quail eggs...but the quail eggs are all 100% different. The vendor simply states "Female Quail $1L " and no other details. Is this vendor still going to be allowed since I am simply selling them a quail, and they know this, even though the quails color will be random?
As someone who breeds breedables, there is literally no way I can put out every breedable of every color into their own separate vendor - especially considering there are millions of colors.

    Hi everyone!

We have posted our first update with a round of initial FAQ's to the original announcement.  We will post more as quickly as we can.

    @Patch Linden

I just want to mention that all 7seas fish are transferable and I will be pretty upset if they have to make them non transfer. I think that 7seas should be allowed to stay as it is, as you aren't purchasing the  fish you catch - you are purchasing the bait so that you can fish, which is a known item.

  8. I just want the lindens to actually answer some key questions:

    a. How is this any different from pokemon cards, etc?

    b. How will this affect breedables that have random genders for their starters ?

    c. I really don't think less then 30 days notice is enough time to transition over, also, you aren't compensation creators at all for the Linden they've spent on shop fees like uploads, etc.

    d. Will vendors that give out a random breedable be outlawed, too?  The buyer knows that they are buying a breedable - just not what gender or stats it has. I have so many horse bundles, snakes, spiders, etc, I usually just toss them into an equal-chance vendor for people to play for funsies and to downsize.... so now am I unable to do that?  I won't have the prim space to put *everything* out for sale.

There are so many unanswered questions and concerns being displayed in this thread and they are seemingly getting flat out ignored by the individuals who would actually have answers to the questions.

So basically forcing someone to buy something they do not want because the next item that appeared there RANDOMLY is what they want? Not so sure about such a concept.

You are not required to buy anything that you do not want. If the item displayed in the vendor is not the item you want: Don't buy it. You can see exactly what it is. Nobodies forcing you to buy it.

    Sounds exactly like a Gacha

Not a gacha because the person buying knows 100% what they are getting.

Gacha is a random chance to obtain an item and those items vary between common, rare, and ultra rare. If you display the item for sale and it's a "rare" item, you still know you're buying that "rare" item.

I think what this person is suggesting would technically be okay because it displays to the person paying the money what they are getting and when you pay for that item that is exactly what you get.\

Same reason I suggested to the person earlier about breedable vendors that sell random bundles are probably still okay. You are selling a horse (Or any breedable). The person knows they are getting a horse (Or insert any breedable here). You are not lying to them about what they will get when they pay that vendor. You are also not guaranteeing them that the horse looks like a or b or c. All you are doing is offering them a horse for x amount of lindens and all horses inside the vendor are the exactly same price and rarity / chance. Ergo: Not a gacha.

So Basically anyone who sells breedables and uses a vendor to sell multiple Items of the same breed but the rest of the items is unknown can no longer use vendors or gatchas to sell eggs, bundles, crates,  or whatever the babies birth as.  Because we would have to list every trait on all the breedables?  We can not just put a certain breed in a vendor with various traits.

I think that would still be okay. Just don't list the vendor as "gacha'. I am s till going to use vendors that say you will get "One Amaretto Breedable Horse Bundle"  or "One Snake Egg"

The buyer will know exactly what they are getting still. At least I th ink this will still be okay. Also, there's no  better chance at getting anything inside that vendor like there would be with gachas. Gachas usually have common, rare, and ultra rare items. A vendor selling a breedable doesn't have that.
