    Here ya go!

And to add to the conversation, I keep my speakers off all the time, but if I'm at a party/club having fun, even though I'm not listening to the music, of *course* I tip the DJ, etc. They are working and creating the atmosphere that's bringing in the crowd that I'm enjoying, and there are expenses behind all of that (land rental/tier, stream rental fee, etc.)  It doesn't have to be a huge tip! Any tip helps, I am sure.

If you don't like being asked for tips, find another place to go. So simple.

sure thing boss, eye rolls billions upon billions.

  3. my media will play on my pc, it just wont play in second life. i have tried everything i can think of to fix the issue. I got it fixed a couple times but now the end result is the same issue no media. so i wanna go to the club and then i see in chat every 2-5 minutes about tips. I just felt like complaining because where else can you go and meet people, i mean people not actual bots....i know my complaining is never ending, but now i feel better 😂

Great! I don't doubt you at all. Does that extend to tipping DJs at clubs?

No boss it actually doesnt, half the time the sl media doesnt even play so no i wont be tipping djs, its just as easy for me to listen to my spotify.

I'm not sure I get "tacky" and "unprofessional" -- but I do entirely understand, and have experienced, a slight sense of . . . discomfort? maybe even annoyance? . . . in clubs where this happens. Mostly, it doesn't in the clubs that I go to, because they tend to be more community-oriented, casual places, but I know what you're talking about.

I discovered something a long time ago, however, about this. If I do tip the DJ, or the host, or the venue, even a small amount (say, L$50), that feeling of discomfort or annoyance almost immediately magically disappears.

And I realized, as a result, that most of that feeling was, really, coming from a slight sense of guilt or even embarrassment, because I wasn't contributing something, anything, to the event that I was currently enjoying, for free. And that even a token offering was enough to make me feel like I was at least registering my appreciation for those who were putting time, effort, and sometimes money into offering me something for my pleasure. Mostly, I think, those to whom I gave the tip appreciated the recognition from me, even if it was a pretty insubstantial amount (as, in my early days in SL, it tended to be: I wasn't exactly super rich in those days).

I think, generally, that's mostly what it's really about: the acknowledgment and recognition. I doubt that too many hosts or DJs are getting rich on L$200 tips, or that many sim owners are able to cover rental costs or tier for what they're getting that way.

Annoying YES, guilt, not at all i spend PLENTY supporting creators lol

Same issue, over and over... hopefully the word will spread, one day or another... the seams are inherently unavoidable UNLESS the head AND the body were exported together, because they have to share their vertex normals. That seam you see is NOT from the skin, it comes from the light that hits the edges and finds 2 sets of vertex normals that point in different directions, making the light bounce in 2 different directions. NO, it's can't "fit" automatically, unless who makes the head has the ORIGINAL body or the other way around, which would lead to have a body (or head) version for each head (or body) brand. Thing that i don't see happening any time, since it means that a brand creator should share the original body used for upload with another brand creator.

Maitreya partially fixed it by exporting her body along with a system head, which has a set of vertex normals that are closer to other heads' neck seams normals than a body that was exported alone. Then with a neck-fix object overlaid on top that blends a texture from neck across the base of the head, the effect disappears or has an effect that isn't noticeable.

yea i kinda figured that was the issue.

I read all the warnings about the Legacy TMP body, I also read the few.. rare good reviews. I love shiny things so there.. I took a chance. I don't regret it but I was.. umm pissed. I love all aspects of Second life, particularly fashion and photography. It was a big fail for me to realize that the body  gloss/shine only applies to the default legacy skins. Their CSR did her/his best to convince me that it was the skin creator's job to provide some sort of shine to the body.. that other popular mesh bodies do the same (which is untrue). The only way I can see a creator providing shine that you can increase or decrease at will is via an applier aka taking away the option of applying anything else like tats, body freckles, scars, body hair (if I'm wrong, correct me). So you basically have to choose.. Skin gloss vs Tat, Skin shine vs Freckles.. I was annoyed and I do own other bodies who have made it their priority to provide shine to the ANY skin you decide to wear so you're not forced to walk around looking two-tone because you have to wear a Legacy skin.

Perhaps if more of you do make a complaint, they may address this but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Meh.. it is what is is.

Also, Eva Artemesia (Creator of This Is Wrong)provides some very nice shine that work as tattoo appliers. Those might work out for some of you.

thank you i will give the shine a try maybe it will cover the ugly neck seam..hehe

I don't use a TMP body myself and I have no idea if they have heads for them or not, this time around..I bought one of their bodies the first time they made one,so I'm not too trusting of them right now..

In my eyes they should be giving their first customers one of these and calling it, the long overdue update you've been waiting for..hehehehe

My comment about a neck fix was any neck fix I've ever seen from any of the bodies and heads that use that texture strip to cover the seam line..they just all seem to look worse to me..

They want 5,000 for the body?  Is this the same owner as before, because if it is,that's pretty arrogant of them in my eyes to be coming back around and asking high dollar again after their last run they had.

Sorry,I'm just a bit sour on them from my expensive lesson I learned from them the last time.. You may want to take what I say about them with a grain, maybe even a block of salt..hehehehe

I hear ya...lesson learned on my end. ;)

I bought a legacy body for photography reasons (just reeeeally love the cuvy shape and quality) but that part really sucks yeah. Dont understand why they took this approach.

Also have a lot of trouble with the nech seam. Dont really get why a body like maitreya can make it virtually disapear but they can not. Maybe I dont understand it enough yet, but it seems you only have a certain amount of default color options provided by them, instead of letting the skin applier of the skin vendor do the job.

That the negative part for me though, positive is just the amazing looks. On that part, and the way it animates, its way ahead of the other big names in my opinion.

i am also having this same issue, have you found a fix for this?

From what I've seen from just about any neck fix texture that sits around the neck..I've never heard of any of those working..

About the only thing that works well is matching the applier for the head and the body and the body and the head working well together as far as fit..

if you have to buy their head to fit their body and no other heads will work.. Yea,that's not good..

I mean unless you love their head.

i have tried my genus head and also my catwa, it doesnt remove the neck seam no matter what i try. ive tried MANY skins. i didnt realize they had heads for the body, but no i wont be buying one lol. i even tried the light settings they suggested and the seam is still there. i tried adjusting the neck shape on the body and the shape and the seam is still showing. at that price $5000 lindens which equals about $35.00 canadian the body should be flawless if you ask me.

  11. i thought i would give the body a try very curvy shape to it, but no matter what i do i cannot get the seam in the neck to go away, ive bought multiple neck shaders and skins and not one of them works in the neck...long story short i wouldnt purchase until they have a fix for this issue, i will go back to maitreya because of this reason. if anyone has a suggestion or a fix for this please contact lyric bayn in world.
