  1. Thanks so much for all the information, time to try some things and see what works best, one thing for sure - it's not as easy as create an obect in your favorite 3d app and upload
  2. OK, I created a cube to contain my object, yet when I attempt to use it for the physics file it only surrounds the root prim of the object (in the view window of the uploader) no matter how large I make it? ughhh
  3. @Imnotgoing Sideways: But my point is that by welding the leg objects into a single poly it reduced the actual objects prim count, in fact the number of faces on the poly were reduced by 20 on each leg (80 faces less in total) - otherwise the objecs are identical, so why would the prim useage DOUBLE instead of dropping or even staying the same?? Makes no sense
  4. Hi Maeve, Thanks for the reply.. The physics on both models was set to lowest on the uploader. I will however try the cube and see what happens, might cause an issue with the avatars legs not being able to go under the table when seated though.
  5. ok so here's the issue..... I created a simple mesh dining room table, the legs are composed of 4 torus's around 1 cylinder, the top is a basic cube as well as the skirt for the top - when uploaded to second life and rezzed it uses 22 prims of my alotted useage on the parcel as expected - so i took each table leg and it's torus's and welded them in my 3d app, now when uploaded to SL and rezzed the object shows accordingly as 6 prims on the edit tab, HOWEVER it takes a whopping 42 prims away from my alotted parcel allowance. What gives??
